We worked on our fifth lesson in our mental health unit today. The lesson was about trusting people and gossip. You can find the handout in Google Classroom under Health. We will finish this activity tomorrow or Friday morning.
We reviewed for our math test today. The pages are 22-48 in book 1 and 77-104 in book 2. If students are able to answer the questions on pages 101-104, they will be in good hands for the test. There will be some graphing questions as well. Basically, book 2 is where most of the content will come from. The reason is that our tricks and strategies that we learned in book 2 apply to book 1. There will be about 90 minutes set aside to review tomorrow as well. The test is in the afternoon.
If your child is not feeling well, please do not send them to school to write this test. It's not worth it. Please keep them home. They can write it on Friday or when we get back. There are many kids away these days. Your child will not be impacted in a negative way (ever) if they are too sick to come to school. The most important thing is that they are healthy.
The afternoon was spent competing in a fun game with Ms. Lam's grade 5/6 class. We also listened to three episodes of Mars Patel. That leaves us with the series finale tomorrow. We will listen to it in the morning.
We are having our holiday party on Friday after lunch. There is an assembly in the gym from 10:30 - 11:30. Please, no Tim Horton's or items with peanuts. These will be returned with your child and brought home.
