Our podcasts were finally completed today. We were able to listen to most of them in class. I am very impressed with how they turned out. Keep in mind that we do use Chromebooks in class. They are limited with how powerful they are. Also, we are using a school board approved app that is free so we had limited features. Even with these limitations, the students managed to do a really good job! I'm extremely proud of them and especially proud with how hard they worked. Each student should have a copy of the podcast in their Google Drive so you can listen to it at home.
Report cards will be sent home on February 18. Today was my last day to make edits and changes.
We will begin with term 2 material starting on Tuesday. I am not planning anything tomorrow due to the snowstorm that is on the way. I will try my best to get here on time tomorrow morning. Please check www.yrdsb.ca to see if the uses are cancelled tomorrow. The school will be open tomorrow even if buses are cancelled. If buses are cancelled, the boys basketball tournament will be cancelled as well. This impacts a few of the boys in our class. No students will fall behind on work tomorrow if they do not come because of the weather.
We are starting our new science and social studies/history curriculums next week along with new health and literacy. We will be looking at Black History Month. This assignment will take us to the March Break (and maybe after).
