We worked on our second lesson in our mental health and substance abuse unit in Health. We looked at the dangers of following influencer trends and the products they promote. More specifically, we looked at the use of energy drinks by influencers and some tragic stories about overconsumption of caffeine. Articles are in Google Classroom under Health.
We started our financial literacy unit in Math. This is part of our percentages unit that we are already working on. Our focus today was exchange rates and how much cash we use on a holiday. That lesson is in Google Classroom under Math.
Since we had a lot of absences today, we spent the afternoon doing a marketing activity using AI. The goal was for each group to market a product that they were going to create (or a company). They each had about an hour to come up with an idea and a pitch. We were able to watch two presentations today. The other six can go tomorrow.
