We had a new science lesson today. It was a repeated lesson from the previous unit. Both units need particle theory to describe how heat acts. We will move on to the third lesson of this unit at some point this week.
We reviewed for tomorrow's math test. We spent an hour reviewing the mock test I handed out on Friday. This test will not involve adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions. We are also not working on ratios. There are two parts to this test. Part A is multiple choice and will be done online. Part A is worth 8 marks. Part B will be done on paper. It is worth 22 marks. The total is 30 marks. Students will be permitted to use the bathroom when they finish Part A. No bathroom breaks will be permitted during tests. Students will be allowed to use a calculator to calculate taxes, interest, and discounts. The test will take place between 10:15 - 11:55.
The afternoon was spent looking for similes and metaphors in the story we read last week. It's the fourth lesson in our unit. The entire lesson is posted in Google Classroom under Language. We did not finish the lesson. There will be time tomorrow to finish.
