We continued with our History curriculum today. We had our first of three lessons about the War of 1812. The work was posted in Google Classroom under History.
In Math, we looked at the area of a circle.
The afternoon was spent looking at our next literacy project. We are going to select, from a predetermined list, an individual who is an unsung hero about a cause. The list can be found in Google Classroom under Language. Each student needs to narrow their list to a top 3. Once that is finished, a random draw will be held and students will get to select which unsung hero they will discuss.
We officially started using AI in class (as part of YRDSB and their approved tools). A list of how to use AI effectively was posted in Google Classroom under History. We will continue to use AI to help us deepen our understanding in all subject areas. For now, we started with History. We will expand this knowledge to Science tomorrow.
