We spent the majority of the day catching up on geography and health. I made an error with the science lesson this week. We will revisit it on Monday morning. Because of this error and the high number of absences this week, I was unable to update marks.

We did have two lessons today. We listened to Mars Patel Season 3 Episode 5 today. If your child has been away, it would be extremely helpful to them if they catch up at home. The episodes are free on any podcast streaming app (like Spotify and Apple Podcasts) or they can be found on YouTube. Next week, we will listen to the remaining five episodes.
We also had a math lesson today. Our math test will be on Thursday, December 18. There are two lessons left in the unit. Those lessons will take place on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday morning will be used for review. We will write the test on Thursday afternoon. The pages that the test will cover are pages 22-48 in book 1 and pages 77-104 in book 2. This unit was a double unit. We did all the algebra for the year as one unit. That's why there are two books.
Lastly, we will have a holiday party Friday, December 19 in the afternoon. It will take place after lunch. I'm not a supporter of bringing junk food but I understand if students want to do this. Please make sure that the foods that are brought in are peanut-free. Also, we are not allowing any products from Tim Horton's. Tim Horton's can not guarantee a peanut-free product due to how they display and store their items. If foods are brought that are prohibited, they will be returned home.
