Hello,
We continued with our health curriculum today. We discussed the reasons why people may want to drink alcohol and smoke cannabis. We talked about how different people have different values and attitudes towards these substances. Our health lesson will continue next week.
We started training for our track and field event. The event will be held on May 14. When the weather is nice, we will go outside and continue to practice.
In math, we continued working on fractions and percentages. Our focus today was to try to find ways to solve some of these problems without a calculator. We will continue with these mental math strategies tomorrow.
The afternoon was spent working on our persuasive writing task. We took a break for a short walk in the community, but we had to cut it short because the behaviour wasn't appropriate. I felt that some students were compromising the safety of others, so we came back to school. We ended the day by completing our persuasive writing tasks. We will continue this tomorrow afternoon.
