The grade 6s concluded their first unit of social studies today. Our lesson looked at the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms. Over the next two weeks, the grade 6s will have an activity to do to finish the unit. There will be no test.
The grade 7s continued their geography curriculum today. The lesson was posted in Google Classroom. We looked at climate change. This topic will be covered in more detail in term 2 in geography and science.
We spent some time preparing for Thursday's math test. I asked the class to bring home their math booklets to review some questions. The test will be on Thursday after lunch. There are two more one-hour periods left to review.
The afternoon had the grade 6s go to a presentation in the gym while the grade 7s stayed in class with me. The grade 7s had extra time to work on science and geography. When the grade 6s returned at 2:00, the class worked on their podcasts.
