We continued working on our art assignment. This will be handed in next week. We also worked on science today. I gave the class time to complete the work that I was away for on Monday. We continued with math as well. We are now learning about the area of parallelograms and triangles. We will have more exposure to this tomorrow.
The afternoon was spent working on our Six Minutes podcast. We listened to a few episodes today. The series is getting better and better. I also set the class up to use two reading apps on the computer. I will not be leaning on these apps too much. This is not a replacement to reading books. The two apps are GetEpic and ReadWorks. GetEpic is free Monday-Friday from 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM. It is not necessary to buy a subscription for this. I do not use those features and this is only to support students in class. Marks will not be awarded or taken away because of GetEpic. ReadWorks is also free and it's free all day. I will use that one periodically for marks.
